Pirilampo Mágico is a well known Portuguese goodwill campaign to help trisomie and dawn syndrome 
It is materialised one the selling of a plush firefly, an anthem, as other merchandise containing this lovely and respected figure.
Media owners of every country contributes with media space on outdoor networks, press, radio and TV. 
To end the campaign, every year the National broadcast channel RTP, makes a gala night to achieve donations as the most known entertainers and musicians. This live event is broadcasted for millions o portugueses 
In 2005 I had the opportunity to win a Mandala internal pitch y to develop the campaign concept.
The idea come from a successful bureau joke occurred two years before. We were printing some pirilampo 2013 mockups. With a scissors , I cut what it was a perfect head sized pirilampo silhouette. With an elastic it turned into a perfect ace mask. Everybody in the Mandala agency had a great laugh  with it. 

It was a good piece of time and it turned the main insight for the 2005 Pirilampo Mágico Campaign.

It is good to have good will, to become part o something great, something unquestionable as help kids who suffer with deep mental deceases. Everybody wants to help, and so do I.
Make some part of something great, it is easy to find endorsers for Pirilampo, and we knew that we would ave that great backup.
So the idea comes from the good will atitude that should fallow us in everyday life.
The actors were invited to use some parts o the pelucia toy. Pedro Reis was invited to wear the feet, walking on the most busy Lisbon square. José Carlos Pereira was a bright subway rambler with pirilampos antena. Behind the pirilampos eyes there is the genial Rita Blanco. And to close in beauty. Isabel Figueira delivered and supermarket catwalk on pelllucia outfit . It was great to testify their enthusiasm and good will about this plot.​​​​​​​

Set colours for the toy production is the main insight to create a visual identity, flexible enough to communicate on Tv, Press, Printed Materials, Mupi, Merchandise and in a Live Broadcast gala night.

The campaign was a success both on sells and awareness.
